Spicy Beef Stir-Fry: A Quick and Flavorful Dinner Option

  • Author: Kimberly

Ingredients

– 1 lb beef sirloin, sliced into thin strips
– 1 medium onion, sliced
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 red chili peppers, sliced (adjust to taste)
– 3 tablespoons soy sauce
– 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
– 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water (slurry)
– 1 tablespoon brown sugar
– 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
– 1/4 cup beef broth
– Cooked rice (for serving)
– 1 tablespoon chopped green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

1. Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the beef strips and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2. Add the remaining oil to the skillet. Sauté the onions and garlic until softened and fragrant, about 3 minutes.
3. Stir in the soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, and beef broth. Bring to a simmer.
4. Return the beef to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
5. Add the sliced chili peppers and toss well. Adjust seasoning with additional soy sauce if needed.
6. Serve over steamed rice, garnished with green onions.
