1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 cup cornstarch
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/4 cup orange juice
2 tablespoons rice vinegar
1 teaspoon sesame oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
1. In a bowl, combine cornstarch, salt, and pepper. Dredge the chicken cubes in the cornstarch mixture, ensuring they are fully coated.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
3. Add the chicken to the skillet in a single layer (work in batches if necessary) and cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 6-8 minutes. Remove chicken from skillet and set aside.
4. In the same skillet, combine soy sauce, honey, orange juice, rice vinegar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes (if using).
5. Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens slightly, about 3-5 minutes.
6. Add the cooked chicken back to the skillet and toss to coat evenly with the glaze.
7. Cook for another 1-2 minutes, until the glaze is sticky and coats the chicken.
