Ingredients
mozzarella cheese sticks, 8 pieces
1 cup breadcrumbs
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Vegetable oil, for frying
Instructions
1. Cut mozzarella sticks into desired size, if necessary, and place them in the freezer for 20 minutes.
2. Prepare three separate bowls: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with breadcrumbs mixed with garlic powder and Italian seasoning.
3. Dip each frozen mozzarella stick in flour, then coat in egg, and finally coat with breadcrumbs. For extra crunch, repeat the egg and breadcrumb step.
4. Heat oil in a deep pan to 350°F (175°C). Fry the mozzarella sticks in batches until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
5. Remove and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
